Hello Spring | Just Nick Studio

Hi there friends!
Today I am back with you to share a Spring themed layout created for Just Nick Studio using their awesome cut files!
I pulled out some REALLY old Bella Blvd products for this layout...I love the pastel colours and how much they remind me of Easter and Spring...even though its not Spring in Australia, I like to think of it!
This is the Just Nick Studio cut file I used on this layout....the Hello Spring title.
That gorgeous thin multi-coloured stripe paper was the paper I decided to cut the Hello Spring title out of....I just love how this turned out....better than expected! I added a few embellishments to the title to help decorate the layout a little bit more and add interest..
My niece is an absolute bundle of gorgeous! She is SO photogenic...perfect for this scrapbooker....hopefully she will appreciate me creating these layouts for her one day!
In this photo, she was posing a new outfit that her parents had bought for her, she is only age 1 in this photo but already a pro at posing lol! As the outfit has bumblebees on it, the photo was perfect for this layout!
That bumblebee chipboard sticker had to make its way on this layout since there were bees on Amelia's outfit and its her nickname too!! I really like how this layout turned out....I literally cut the title first and then decided on a photo, added some other small bits of paper and embellishments and the layout was complete! Super quick one this time!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have been enjoying the Spring inspiration from us? Why not check out the Just Nick Studio store for some cut files that would suit your next project?
Happy creating!

Everyday Gamer | Bella Blvd Alex | Sassy Scrappers

Hi there friends!

Today I am back with another boy themed layout created for Sassy Scrappers using the awesome 'Alex' collection by Bella Blvd.

To begin this layout I decided to cut a title from a Just Nick Studio cut file set that went with the theme of my photo! My eldest son is a mad gamer so this title was perfect for this layout! The 'everyday' wood veneer piece from the Heidi Swapp set was also the perfect addition to my title too!

Once I had my title set out how I wanted it to look, I began to add my photo and some of the cute embellishments from the Bella Blvd Alex collection...there are lots of pieces that reference gaming and boys in this collection so they had to be included on this layout!

The wood veneer pieces I added include a star burst and some arrows and I added some of the yellow puffy stars also by Bella Blvd. Stars and arrows never go astray on boy layouts! The flair and enamel dots are the only things I added as extras from my stash.

I finished this layout off with some Mister Huey's Warm Calico Mist (I use this a lot on my layouts).

Have you checked out the Sassy store lately? You can find the Bella Blvd Alex collection plus loads more gorgeous products in store now!

Happy creating!

Let's Stay Home Daddy | March 2017 Main and Add-On kits | Hip Kit Club

Happy Easter everyone!
Today I am sharing a new design team scrapbook layout created for Hip Kit Club using the March 2017 Main kit! I challenged myself to only use the March 2017 Main kit to create this layout!
So I began by choosing some of the pretty papers in the March 2017 main kit, the houses paper by Dear Lizzy is so hard to resist!  I cut a circle in the geometric paper using my Silhouette Cameo and then backed the house paper behind the circle.
My title consists of the Charm Thickers by Crate Paper found in the March 2017 Main kit...I used lots of the Oh My Heart ephemera by Pink Paislee/Paige Evans to layer and embellish around my photo...the exclusive enamel dots enhance the flower ephemera beautifully!
My niece is soooo photogenic! I am so glad I have her cuteness to scrapbook now! This photo of her with her Dad was taken when she was visiting me.....I bought her this cute outfit she is wearing and I wanted to get some cute shots of her!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope I have inspired you to pull out your March 2017 Main kit and create something pretty!
I hope you and your family enjoy a safe and Happy Easter!

Yay! | Just Nick Studio

Happy Easter everyone!
Today I have a new design team layout to share with you created for Just Nick Studio.....believe it or not, its not Easter themed! It's a birthday themed layout I am sharing this week as the design team are all using words/sentiment cut files on our projects!
I combined two different cut file sets from the Just Nick store for this layout...I used the candles and the balloons included in the Birthday sentiments set below.....
I decided to add my photos as a photo strip this time...I really like this look whenever I have a few photos I want to include as a series. The skinny photos means you can layer and tuck embellishments and cut files in and around the photos!
and the Make a Wish and Yay words from the Card sentiments 1 set.
These photos were taken at my little guy's 4th birthday a couple of years ago...he absolutely LOVES cake of any kind and that is what he gets most excited about at birthday parties! Even his own!
The Make a Wish collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio was perfect for this layout...the Just Nick cut files match with this collection perfectly!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Check out the cut files available in the Just Nick store now!

Hello Bro | Bella Blvd Alex | Sassy Scrappers

Happy Easter everyone!

Today I am back with you to share a new design team layout created for Sassy Scrappers that is a little more masculine than the ones I have been sharing lately!

I got a brand new box of goodies from the Sassy store this week and picked a few masculine pieces this time!

Having 2 sons and a hubby I am rather inundated with boy stuff so I thought I would share how to create some fun boy layouts as I know they can be difficult!
I have used some of the awesome Alex collection by Bella Blvd that you can find in the Sassy store.....I cut a funky background, available from Just Nick Studio, using one of the patterned papers and backed it onto white cardstock. I also turned some of the negative pieces upside down and filled them back in for a pop of blue throughout the layout.

The Alex ephemera pack had perfect bits and pieces in it to embellish my layout, I also used one of the yellow Bella Blvd puffy star stickers but coloured it black and the Heidi Swapp wood veneer pieces added some great male touches too. A little splatter of Mister Huey's Warm Calico mist added the final touches! Sometimes you just have to not overthink a project....I often find it difficult to know when to stop when I create layouts, I think with masculine layouts you can get carried away but if you keep things fairly simple you should be fine!

I took my black pen and also outlined a few of those triangles to make them stand out a little more too!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you are inspired to try some boy layouts?! You can find plenty of boy themed goodies in the Sassy store now...below are photos and links to what I have used for this layout!

Enjoy your Easter with your families!
See you next week!

Happy creating!

Kiss Me | Simple Stories Love and Adore | Sassy Scrappers

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

Tarrah McLean joining you today to share my last layout created with the Simple Stories Love and Adore collection!
I ended up creating 6 layouts using this collection and I still have a few bits and pieces left as well!
Talk about getting the most out of your supplies!

For this layout, I decided to fussy cut out the geo heart that is on the reverse side of the black and white stripe paper. I put that piece to the side to use another time and I then hand stitched around the entire perimeter of the heart using a dark pink thread. I then backed the hole using one of the other papers!

As the paper behind the open heart is on a slight diagonal, I decided to use this as part of my design by adding my photo and embellishments in the same diagonal direction. I used a few of the Love and Adore journaling cards to act as layers under my photo and added a few of the chipboard stickers, ephemera and accessory stickers to complete my layout!

My niece was over visiting from England at Christmas time and we loved having her. As you can see she LOVED my littlest son as well! She is trying to give him a kiss here! So precious!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Check out this collection and what's new in the Sassy store too! So much yumminess!

Happy creating!
